A home strength and balance program for older adults
A 12-week program older adults follow at home on any device, designed by the Independent Movers team, led by an Accredited Exercise Physiologist (ESSA).
How it works
- Safety screening: nine questions; any "yes" needs a doctor's clearance.
- Assessment (20 min): squat, hinge, push, calf, pull, overhead and balance levels, plus a walking or running program from cardio readiness questions.
- 12-week plan progressing every four weeks, with a video for every exercise.
- Regression: easier options and a "Too hard" button.
- Week-12 reassessment and report card.
